Is it Friday yet

So I wake up this morning at 5:30, I had to be in at 6am. Not a big deal, because I love my hours and love Adrian the overnight staff (and friend) I work with.We are very close and refer to eachother as work husband and wife.
So after getting to work its all going like a typical Monday, all is same ol’ same ol’ when Julie walks in and calls me to the office. I am thinking she wants to go over todays “list of things to do” NOPE !! She tells me that she will be going to another house to help out for the next three months and that Sue her assistant will be bumped up to manager, and she and the senior want to bump me up to assistant. HELL NO !!! I work 22 hours a week. My hours are premo. Plus working what I work alows me to have a spotless home, my bills are paid on time, Jenn and I still have $ to save up and $ to enjoy life, why would I want the extra hours, the extra hassle, the stress. Do everyone see where I am going with this ?? I enjoy, love and appreciate where I am in my life right now, and being able to work as little as I work and still have everything I need and want. I am enjoy my hobbies. I enjoy my friends and family. So after basically telling her all this she proposes JUST an additional 10 hours Monday-Thursday 6-2.
Plenty of pros and cons with this, but she is getting warmer as to me even considering this offer:
Like my my schedule now is Monday 6-2, Tuesday 6-10, Wednesday 6-10, and Thursday 7-1. So if I decide to take this I will still have a three day weekend just no more shorty days. It is only for three months. More pay, and good experience. It is something I will talk about over dinner with Jenn and something to consider. I have until the end of the week to give Julie an answer.
My dad is feeling better, still a bit sore but hanging in there. Lucy is doing great and I will post pictures soon. Jenn and I will be going away for the weekend, ( as I type with a smile thinking about how great that will be ). Joel gets back tomorrow from his trip form Washington, and Temoc’s B-day is tomorrow. He is going to be the big 10 !!! I am having a party for him, with my family. My friend Amber will be helping me cook, and her partner will be playing the guitar.

Fall

What is it about the fall that makes me just want to read, nap, and make yummy soups. Jenn and I were woken up last night by the dreaded beeper. The unfortunate part was that the staff calling got the worng beeper #, Jenn doesn’t even cover that house. So we slept in do to the overnight page. When we got up we had a great breakfast ( whole wheat blueberry pancakes, and a tomatoe and egg white omlett, and cut up butter crisp apples). After picking up a bit we took Tom for a walk. Jenn and I love to walk this time of year, and I think so does Tom. When we got back home I worked on a scrapbook, painted my nails, gave myself a facial, and wrote my sister Norma a letter. Jenn played atari, called her mom, read the Sunday paper, clipped coupons, We then showered together and now she is napping, which is what I am going to do too, after I start a pot of lentil soup !! Yummy !!

Tired

I am very tired so I will make this short. My dad had two stents put in yesturday. I drove my parents both to Rochester General.I was up at 3am, picked them up at 4, and then headed to Rochester General, and waited for the rest of the morning. Once they start to do what they do they hand you a phone and move you along to another waiting room, so my mom and I made the best of it. We read, talked, slept, walked, and had some lunch while we waited. At about noon we got word that everything was good, the stents went in, and he was resting in his room. At about 2pm I finally left for home. My mom spent the night with him, and today after work I went to pick them up and now they are resting at home.
Joel left for Washington today, so I have Mr Tom, I hope he has a safe trip. It is a short trip however, and he will be back on Tuesday.
Jenn and I are well, and looking forward to going away next weekend. We will be at a B&B on Niagara on the Lake. It is beautiful this time of year and we like Christmas shopping at all the cute little stores, we may hit the casino too.
Well I am tired so I am going to nap.
