No one can get in the way of what I am feeling. Words to live by as sung by Alicia Keys. Jenn and I have finally finished all of our remodeling projects that we had in store for the interior of the house, and it looks amazing and we feel great. Every goal we set for ourselves this summer was accomplished and nothing can get in the way of how we are feeling ! I think the house is happy too. I am weird like that I think ” things ” have feelings. My car, house ect….Jenn and I met with our caseworker this past Monday. We recieved an additional 5 files. There is one child that both Jenn and I took a special interest in and so we will be setting up a visit and take it from there. We will be taking the file over tonight for Thanksgiving dinner so my family can see his picture and read his backround. My mom especially has taken a special interest in this process.Tuesday was Tom’s birthday. We celebrated his b-day with my entire family last Sunday the 18th. So Tuesday I took him running. He loves to run. Wednesday Jenn and I went to the casino, and WON !!! I won’t say how much, but it made us happy, and its giving us a little umph to finish christmas shopping ! Today is Thanksgiving and we went to see Jenn’s family earlier and later we will be seeing my family. Jenn has to work at Ed’s so she will be leaving at 6. I think we will be playing lotteria for $$$, Mexican bingo for those of you who have never played. Jenn and I kind of sorta fasted yesturday, and so far today too ( just fruits and veggies, hot tea and water). So I am looking very forward to having dinner and spending time with my family. So there you have it, my week’s update. Today being a time to reflect on what we are thankful for I want to say that am especailly thankful for my family, my health, my happiness, my friends, and all the inner peace I have within me that allows me to live the type of life that I do. So far so good

So far so good, or at least that is what I am telling myself. As some of you know Jenn and I have done a lot with remodeling some of the house this summer and it is looking really great. The kitchen, bathroom were remodeled and painted. The dinningroom was painted and new furniture was purchased. The attic got some recycled blue jean insulation and dry wall. And today oh today what can I say about today ? What word comes to mind HELL !!! Jenn and I decided to paint the upstairs hallway, and stairway this past weekend. Which we did, and it looks great. The colors gave everything a new fresh facelift. So today the carpet people came and they were in and out carrying out old carpet, basically made a mess. I tried to stay calm but had a minor episode. I called Jenn at work and let it all out, she knew this is what was going to happen, however I had to take the day off due to her schedule being full. Now it is all over and done with and the stairs, the attic, hall and bedrooms look GREAT !!! We are looking forward to our open house in December and can’t wait to show off our hard work and the beautiful end result.
In other news Jenn and I have a meeting tomorrow with our case worker to get more files of children who are possibilities, so as far as having a child for the holidays it is looking rather bleak. We will see how this meeting goes tomorrow.
Jenn and I are still going strong with going organic. It is hard to go 100% from the start. I think though that we are heading in the right direction. We are eating better, ( I would guess 90 % organic ) and even making small and big changes in our home, ( like the recycled blue jean insulation). We will continue all this and more ( as new ideas come up) through the new year. No one said it would be easy being green ! But it is so worth it !

So I love the fall, I just hate knowing that winter is around the corner and the days of waking up in the dark, getting out of work in the dark, and living in the dark and cold is already making me feel the winter blahs. I don’t like feeling blah, who does ? It’s just sometimes hard to snap out of it. One thing Jenn and I are looking forward to this winter is going to California to visit my sister Norma, and from there we will be driving to Las Vegas. We will be finalizing everything by the end of December.
Work has been hell. Julie is at her tentitive house, Sue got bumped up to acting manager, and I somehow got bumped up to acting assistant. It really is mindless. everything I have to do though is a pain in my ass because Of all the appontiments, and the phone. It just never stops ringing. I really should not care regardless of what is going on I still am only working 24 hours and that is it !!
Jenn and I are getting new carpet upstairs this week on Tuesday, so Sunday we will be painting the hall and be hanging up new frames we got last week at Marshalls. So that is something to look forward to.
We are facing a jam packed weekend, and I can hardley wait !!
