Miss Lucy Savage

Well Miss Lucy Savage is what Jenn and I are refering to our pet.  She is a beagle mix, and she is a hurricane katrina rescue dog. We have had her now for a little over a year, and  I LOOOOOVE HER !!!!!! BUT………. she has started to dig. Everytime she goes potty she quickly runs fast on ice and snow and digs.  It is driving me nuts. You can be out there watching her and she digs so fast that the damage is done in a matter of seconds. I have already lined up someone to come and plant grass seed and lay some top soil however in the mean time Jenn and I could possibly kill ourselves while we are out with her. I have tried the dog whisper’s advice, and while that works 50% of the time it has not helped the situation that much. So now Lucy Elizabeth is Lucy Savage, and if she continues we will change her name on her tags. Enough about lucy,  Jenn and I we had a date the other night. We had a great dinner at Amber and Kathy’s house.( My parent’s watched Matao ). We also went to Joanne’s to get yarn, to Macy’s to get Jenn a new pair of sneakers, and to Borders for a book for me, and a college guide for a class Jenn is taking. It was a nice saturday afternoon and night. Sunday we took Matao to the library and an egg hunt which he loved. This weekend we are looking forward to having my entire family over for Easter. More to come on that. Peace to all who enter here.

In “Sickness and in Health”

I feel very grateful right now to have gotten over a really bad cold. When you are sick and not in the best of moods it is then you can really see what your partner is made of. Jenn despite having to work all day really came through and took care of me. Which got me thinking do I really need a piece of paper stating that we are married ? The answer is no. While I wouldn’t mind be married for the some financial reasons, and to have Jenn put me on her medical insurance, or just to have the right to get married like everyone else. After everything the good the bad and the ugly that peice of paper would not change anything within us.  The way Jenn took care of me and the way I see everyday that she loves me makes me realize that we can have our own standards of marriage. And it is okay.  In other news I am still kicking butt with knitting, our foster child is doing well, I cut back my hours again at work, I am only working 20 hours and Jenn and I really feel good about life and everything that is going on. This past weekend with being snow bound, Jenn and I slowed down and enjoyed eachother and Matao. What a Wonderful life. Peace and love to all who enter here
