Something to do on a hot day off

Here is another picture taken at Canandaigua lake. Jenn and I went on a paddle boat. Thankfully Jenn has some srong ass legs.

THERE ARE PLACES I REMEMBER

 

One of those places is being on vacation. Jenn and I enjoyed taking time off last week. Yesterday was our first day back and both of us had a pretty stressful day. I actually got out of work late, therefor making Matty grumpy and Lucy really had to go to the bathroom by the time I got home. I made up for it later on with taking both of them to the park and out for icecream. 

 

My job is causing me stress because I was offered a promotion, which I have thought about taking but I am still unsure about what to do. I really am happy only working part time and having time to do things around the house and to be with Matty. The promotion would bring ( I think ) more stress, more responsibility, more hours, and probably my fair share of being unhappy. On the flip side  it would mean more money !!! , but really what does that do for us ? You earn more, you spend more, and right now I feel Jenn and I have found a balance to paying what we need to pay, saving for a rainy day, and we still have money left to enjoy life and do what we want to do. who could ask for anything more ? ( yet another phrase of a song ) I must have music on my brain. Everything is up in the air and I don’t like being in limbo and I especially hate change. Update to follow once I know what I am doing. 

 

On a positive note Jenn has 15 more credits to finish to get her masters in social work. Also last week she got a call for an interview with a local non profit medical organization. She would be a boss, which I think Jenn likes to be. It would just be less bullshit. I told her I support her 100% and she should keep her options open. It doesn’t hurt . 

 

Our vacation for the end of August is all booked, and we are looking forward to getting away, and having some more time together. Above is a picture of the giant wave pool at Roseland water park. A nice day trip we took while on vacation.

$1.50 gas I knew there was a catch !

So yesterday I wrote about gasselling for a buck fifity, well later on the news I heard that it was a wannabe congressman. He was paying the difference for every gallon of gas pumped. The news station airing the story said they estimated that he was paying a bill of about  $25000 ! I guess he really wants votes. In any case whether people vote for him or not, they got a great price on gas yesterday. I knew there had to be a catch, and now I know !
