I feel like my vacation has flown by really really fast. While I still have the rest of today, and a long weekend with labor day, it just sucks having to go back to work. I really feel though that this was an almost perfect vacation. Tuesday we went to the Great NY state fair, that was fun, the drive however is a two hour drive ! I get motion sickness so we stopped along the way. Once there, there was alot to do and to eat. I had in order upon arriving a bottle of water and a carmel apple then I had a hot dog and a pint of beer, then I had two 25 cent cups of chocolate milk, for dinner a gyro and apple pie a la mode. Then we grabbed a bag of kettle corn on the way out. We burned a lot of calories, we walked the entire time we were there stopping to eat or to go to the restroom. In all we were there about 6 hours.
Wednesday we went to Darian lake. I loved it I have not been to an amusement park in a very long time.
Thursday we had breakfast with some friends then drove to Niagara on the Lake. We did some shopping, had dinner at the Rain Forrest Cafe, then hit the casino on the way home. I lost but Jenn won a little over $150, not bad.
Today we slept in, cleaned our house, did some yard work, and some laundry. Later we will be meeting Cathy and Amber out for some adult beverages and dancing. We haven’t done that in awhile. This weekend we will be hosting a labor day cook out, with family and friends, and the weather is looking good for that.
There is still three days left and Jenn and I are really happy we had this time to reconnect with eachother. We are already talking about taking more time off this fall. Our favorite time of year.
