The weekend and beyond

So this past weekend was busy I worked everyday. I am used to having three day weekends, it really wasn’t too bad. I just get tired, and my sleep gets a bit messed up but this Wednesday I have the day off and I plan on sleeping in and doing something fun. My mom and papi are in California visiting my sister Norma. They will be there for another two weeks. In the meantime I am keeping an eye on things at their house. Joel is also on vacation with his girlfriend and will be gone until the 7th of May. So Jenn and I are now covering for him at Ed’s. I don’t mind sucking it up and working weekends and covering at Ed’s because I know I will be taking a long well deserved vacation in August. I can’t wait.

Miss Lucy loves her merman toy.

Was that snow I saw out my window…

While the weather has been great for the past two weeks. Well actually better than great, mid fifties and lots of sun, today it snowed. IT FREAKEN SNOWED !! I sat in the office amazed and wondered what the hell is going on. How could mother nature tease us with the feeling of spring, and then have it snow. So after I arrived home I took a look at the local weather channel and realized this will pass. Bye Wednesday it will be about sixty. I can not wait to start gardening and getting my yard looking good. Soon we will have the days where a lazy day at the beach or water park will make us forget days like today. Until then I will soon change into my flannel lounge pants and cuddle on the sofa with Jen to keep warm while watching TV. Still not a bad way to spend the time. Not the beach or water park but it will do after a long day.

Sit and read a bit ….

I am not sure when is the last time I posted anything. Jen and I have been very busy. February was full of b-days, work days, and just life.

Xochitl turned 8, my father turned 77 Joel turned 47, and Danny turned 17. Happy birthday again to all of you. All four birthdays had parties and time spent with family.

Valentines day was a great day. Jenn and I gave a $20 limit to eachother this year. She got me a nice journal, organic dark chocolate and almond bar, and two favorite magazines I enjoy to read weekly. I gave her gloves I knit myself, lavendar bath oil I made myself, earrings, and a movie night of her choice. I rented a DVD she wanted to see, made her a tub of popcorn, and got small bags of her favorite candy. It was a nice night we also tried our new fondu set. I also came to the realization that I do not like chocolate on strawberries.

This past month I went to see The Reader, The Wrestler, then with Jenn we saw Curious Case of Benjamin Button. All three movies were great, but I still think Slum Dog Milliionare was the best movie so far I have seen this year.

Work still is shit. Still hate my job. Still pat myself on the back when I leave work and have not ripped anyone’s face off. Still have to get up in the dark 5AM !!! Still hate it. It’s still cold and I want to go somewhere warm, and maybe stay there.

This past weekend Jen and I went to an RV show. We walked around and looked at all the beauty they have. Everything you need to live in at your finger tips. We stepped into a couple. We imagined what it would be like to sell the house or rent it, buy an RV, and just travel. When we need money we stop and find work, then keep moving. What a perfect life that would be. I know as long as I had Jenn by my side I would be happy. This is something I am sure we will bring up again and look into the possibilities.

The past couple of days Jen and I have been fighting off a cold. we are trying everything in our power not to get sick, but I think my I am losing my battle, Jen is holding her own.

All in all life at 284 Main is great . Peace and love all who enter here.
