Proper Etiquette

So I was on facebook the other day and one of my friends posted a question: If you e-mail someone, and you know they read it, and they do not e-mail you back what does that mean ?

She received serveral responces all pretty much telling her the same thing. Things like: that person sucks, their rude, not worth your time, stop e-mailing that person, ect…

So then about an hour later I talked with someone that does that exact same thing. This person gets beautifully written e-mails, and while this person, (in that person’s defense), has never said “e-mail me”, I do.

Now this person said there is no etiquette for e-mails. I think that there is. Receiving an e-mail especailly if it is personal is like receiving a letter. So you should write back. You should acknowledge that this person made contact.

People are so busy, and so wrapped up in things that do not matter. What matters are the people. Our lives are so privledged by many standards yet basic communication, gratitude, love and affection is so difficult for many. People should stop and realize what truly matters. I think they would be surprised if they asked themselves that question, what the answer is.

I know who and what matters, and that has made all the difference.

Got Happiness ??

Well as another work week comes to a close I realize I have outgrown my job. While most can relate, I know that there are some people that are happy in their job. I am just not one of them anymore.

What really gets me is that I know I am not happy and yet do I take the time to explore options, or look for another job ? NO.

So the complaining on my part really should stop I either do something about it or shut up. So for now I will shut up.

I think maybe its about my limits. Everyone has them and I am at my limit. Its sink or swim.

We will see what the future holds I am at a point in my life where I feel that there will be many changes and I am scared but continue to have an open mind about my life and my future.

We will see…

Looking forward to the weekend, mainly just trying to catch up on sleep, and some shows that I taped during the week. I also have a couple of new CD’s I wanted to listed to, and some new cookbooks I wanted to look through. So thats it for now in a nutshell.

11 hours till I am outta hell and into bliss

Well tomorrow I have to work 4 hours, then Thursday I have to work 7 hours and then I am off Friday the fourth until Monday the 14th tens days of sleeping in, gardening, spending time with family, friends, anything goes, I can not wait. Although I thought Jenn, Lucy and I would be going away we have decided to go away the last weekend in August, and maybe do an overnight trip in Naples. maybe stay at  a B&B? Like I said anything goes and I am just counting down every minute.

Jenn has a long weekend, then she is off next week from Wednesday on. both of us are in need of a break from work. Now I know I only work poart time but if you did what I did day in and day out you could understand. 

This past weekend my nephew ben graduated from high school. It was weird seeing all my old teachers. My sister had a nice party for him too. We also went cherry and berry picking. I love to do those kind of things with Jenn and the kids. I am sure Lucy would love to go, NO DOGS ALLOWED !!! we also cought up on some TV watching. we like to tape the show Jon and Kate plus eight, Ace of cakes, and the next food network star. We had two weeks worth of shows to watch, so we got some pizza, and relaxed Sunday afternoon into the evening. 

 

Last night we took Xochitl to pick out a fourth of July outfit. She picked out a cute sundress. Tonight Temoc has a soccer game, tomorrow Jenn and I are going to the movies with Amber and Kathy, Thursday night I will be doing my happy “no more work till the 14th ” dance. and Like I said anything goes the following 10 days after that.
