Whats new and whats going on …

We had a great weekend. Living in upstate NY, and being that its fall we were so happy to have temps in the upper eighties !! Friday Jenn and I enjoyed a date night. We went out to dinner, then went b-day shopping for some family members. We also started Christmas shopping ! Having the size families we have we have learned over the last five years that we can not save it all until the last minute. It is way too stressful on the both of us. Saturday we all went to the arts and crafts sale at Letchworth ! It was a perfect day. On Sunday we spent most of the day outside getting some yardwork done, then we had a cook out and had family over. It was a weekend I did not want to end… but it did. Today I had to work until 12, then I grabbed Matty and we picked up Lucy and walked her by the canal. It was the tail end of what has been some really nice weather. Now it is raining and will continue to rain for the next 2 days, ( well thats what the local news is saying anyways ).

Tomorrow I have the day off. I hope to visit my aunt, and bake some cupcakes for Temoc its his b-day on the 16th . Happy 11th birthday Temoc ! I also want to get some gifts wrapped and complete the yardwork we started on Sunday, but we will see how the day goes. Oh Jenn wanted to take Tom and Lucy to the garden factory on Buffalo Rd tomorrow too. They are having a halloween party for dogs so we are going to dress Tom and Lucy up in their costumes. Below is what Tom and Lucy will be wearing I think they both look really cute !

DAY OFF !!

So Jenn and I had the day off today. We slept in, how wonderful that feels, and had a nice breakfast, and then started on the “list” . I wrote out a long list of things Jenn and I need to get done before the end of the week, and as usual I have a week but feel like I need to get it done in a day. Anyways, she focused more on getting things done inside of the house and I worked on the outside. I brought in all my potted plants, cut the grass, weeded, pruned the rose bushes, and went to Sara’s for some things to decorate the porch. I love halloween and the feeling that comes with this time of year so I like to show it with decorating. Everything was going well, and then it started to rain, but being me I did what I needed to do and finished and it looks great. Still have a lot to do on the “list’, but I am off tomorrow too, due to my dad having surgery ( nothing to serious but I feel I need to be there ). I work on Thursday and then my weekend starts.
Jenn and I are looking into buying another house, not for us but to have as a rental. We love watching the show flip this house, and have been working with my sister’s friend with learning the ins and outs of doing just that, so by next spring we hope to own another house and by the fall we hope to have it rented. We will see….

My mom’s birthday was so much fun, and I am glad we were able to pull everything off. It was worth it. Lucy is doing well, and Jenn and I find ourselves happy, healthy and just enjoying the fall weather.
